Jim is of counsel in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the finance, energy and real estate group. He has extensive experience in the practice of construction law, including contracting, notices of furnishings and commencements and mechanic and materialmen’s liens. He is also experienced representing owners, developers, contractors and other parties in dispute resolution for matters including contract disputes, design and construction defect liability, the Prompt Payment Act, delay and acceleration claims, bond claims and change order disputes.
Jim also has significant experience in the practice of real estate and land use law, including matters related to purchase and sales contracts, land development and zoning, eminent domain and condemnation law and more.
Jim received his J.D. from Capital University, where he was a member of the moot court team. He received his M.S. from Villanova University and his B.A. from Wilkes College.
