Alex is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation group. She has experience defending employers in workers’ compensation matters and other general employment litigation, including discrimination and retaliation matters. Alex also has experience in commercial contract litigation and experience with personal injury, defamation, product liability and business litigation matters. Her practice primarily consists of cases involving workplace safety and workers’ compensation.
Career Highlights Include:
Successfully defending employers in a significant number of workers’ compensation hearings at the administrative level
Successfully defending an employer in a mandamus action regarding a Violation of Specific Safety Requirement (VSSR) claim
Defending numerous employers in appealed workers’ compensation claims in the trial courts, including trying a case before a jury
Prior to joining Vorys, Alex was an extern for the Honorable Judge Timothy Black in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio.
Alex received her J.D. summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where she was an associate editor for the Northern Kentucky Law Review. She received her B.A. summa cum laude from Morehead State University.
